The Context

Workjam has features such as messaging managers and co-workers, clocking in and out, survey’s, training and scheduling

The Problem

Users might find it difficult to use Workjam’s calendar and scheduling features because the limited viewpoints of the calendar and being disconnected from their existing calendar app

The Objective

To enhance and optimize the scheduling features of the WorkJams app, creating a user-centric and efficient experience that empowers users to effortlessly manage their work schedules, improve communication, and streamline collaboration.

Lacked understanding in customer wants, needs and expectations.

-          Users find the format in which viewing the schedule is presented inconvenient.

-          Users find it frustrating that their work schedule is in a separate place and disconnected from their other electronic calendar’s.

-          Users have a frustrating experience attempting to change their availability, some not understanding how it works at all.

 

Conceptualize

Overwhelmed with insights, I needed to start prioritizing to form a strategy.

-          Explore ways for users to be able to better view their Schedules and upcoming shifts

-          Explore ways to help users set their availability

-          Explore ways to help users be able to export their schedules to existing calendars

Key takeaways

-          Creating a different viewable scheduling calendar, more in line with traditional calendar views.

Design

Once we answered the burning questions, we commenced design right away.

-          Built a Low-Fi Prototype

-          User’s want confirmation their availability has been adjusted
